Calling All Monster Lovers!
Alright my fellow spicy book dragons, where are my monster lovers at?
If you love monster romance with equal parts wholesome charm and scorching spice, Morning Glory Milking Farm absolutely deserves a spot on your TBR. C.M. Nascosta's Cambric Creek series is one of the most unique romance worlds I've ever read. It somehow manages to be cozy, funny, incredibly sex-positive, and wildly erotic all at the same time.
The main series currently consists of five books, but there's also a prequel novella called The Minoan Bride and a reverse POV novel called A Blue Ribbon Romance, which retells this story from the MMC’s perspective.
While neither book is required reading, I highly recommend both. The Minoan Bride is a wonderfully steamy introduction to Cambric Creek, and A Blue Ribbon Romance lets you experience the same romance through Rourke's eyes. I loved Morning Glory Milking Farm so much that I immediately picked up the reverse POV, and it was absolutely worth it.
Meet the Couple
Violet (FMC): Smart, witty, friendly, and relatable. Like many millennials, she's struggling with debt and trying to find a stable career that actually pays the bills.
Rourke (MMC): A successful divorced minotaur businessman with a confident, protective, and quietly possessive personality. Once he decides he wants something, he's determined to make it happen.
What I Loved
Let's address the premise first. Yes... the title is exactly what it sounds like.
Violet lands a well-paying job as a collection technician for a pharmaceutical company, only to discover she'll be collecting semen from minotaur clients. As outrageous as that sounds, the entire process is treated with surprising professionalism. The facility operates like a medical clinic, with sterile collection rooms, professional staff, and a system designed to make clients feel comfortable throughout the process.
The world-building is honestly fantastic.
One of my favorite details was learning about the different types of clients Violet encounters. There are the Earners, who can practically calculate their paycheck by the weight of their collection. The Clock Watchers, who squeeze appointments into their lunch breaks. The Casuals, who only stop by occasionally. And my personal favorite, the Good Little Cows, who enthusiastically “want to be milked” for appointments and sometimes even request technicians wearing adorable milkmaid-themed scrubs.
Those little details made the world feel believable despite the completely unique premise. The romance itself is surprisingly sweet.
Rourke becomes Violet's regular client almost immediately, and what starts as polite conversation during appointments gradually develops into genuine friendship. Their relationship builds naturally through small conversations, shared routines, and quiet moments rather than instant attraction.
When they unexpectedly run into each other at a local Cambric Creek coffee shop, their relationship finally begins shifting from professional to personal. From there, the slow burn romance really starts to shine.
Once these two finally get together... Let's just say this book absolutely earns its four-chili spice rating.
The intimate scenes are detailed, creative, and plentiful, but they never overshadow the emotional connection growing between Violet and Rourke. At its heart, this is still a story about two lonely people finding comfort, acceptance, and happiness with one another.
I also loved that Rourke supports Violet outside of their relationship. He genuinely wants to see her succeed and even helps her find a career in the field she originally went to school for. It's a small detail, but it showed that his love for her extended far beyond physical attraction.
The ending left me with the biggest smile on my face. Watching Violet build a new life in Cambric Creek alongside the sexy minotaur she fell in love with was the perfect happily ever after.
The Verdict
If you've ever been curious about monster romance but weren't sure where to start, Morning Glory Milking Farm is an excellent introduction. Don't let the outrageous premise fool you. Beneath all the spice is one of the sweetest, coziest, and most unexpectedly wholesome romances I've read.
Whether you're here for the adorable relationship, the unique world-building, or the sexy minotaur with a heart of gold, this book delivers on every front. I loved it so much that I immediately picked up A Blue Ribbon Romance, and I can't recommend both books enough.
